WELCOME TO GRAND PRIX MINNEAPOLIS
Minneapolis is a great city - and a Magic Grand Prix just makes it excellent! Join us for an amazing weekend of Magic events.
There is something for everyone scheduled for this Magical Weekend of fun – for casual players who are looking for some 2HG and Commander, and for competitive players looking to get to the Pro Tour, gain byes for the Vintage or Legacy Champs or earn your very exclusive spot at the Super Sunday Series – we have put an event for you and your friends on the schedule! We will have many guest Artists on hand, including Victor Adame Minguez from Mexico – whose art is on our Grand Prix Playmat – as well as veteran greats rk Post, Aaron Miller, and Jeff Miracola!
There will be a dozen vendors on hand to buy, sell and trade with as well. Plan to spend the weekend in this great city, and fill every minute with the fun of Magic, and of Minneapolis!

There is a maximum seating capacity of 2000 players for the Grand Prix. This number will allow for a comfortable, fun experience for all players in the Main Event, as well as plenty of space for Side Events.
WHAT IS A GRAND PRIX?
Grand Prix tournaments are worldwide open events that allow all Magic: the Gathering players to participate and experience the thrill of a large-scale competition. Cash prizes, a high Planeswalker Points multiplier, and exclusive foil promo cards for participants make up the main event.
For your convenience, a discounted room block as been established at the Hyatt Hotel Minneapolis. This fantastic hotel is attached to the convention center by an indoor walkway.
The room rate is $119, from single to quad.
The room rate expires on May 5th, 2016 and there are a limited number of rooms at this convenient hotel, so please make your reservations early.

MAIN EVENT REGISTRATION
Grand Prix Main Event registration will be available on-site Friday 12 PM until 9 PM (CST). Registration will be available online until 9 PM (CST) on Friday, 5/27 (but it costs $10 more to register on the last day, so why wait - register today!).
THERE WILL BE NO SATURDAY REGISTRATION.

Please Note: Deck lists are required. Players with Sleep-In Special and byes, should email their decklist to email@example.com by 9am Saturday morning. All other decklists will be collected during the Players' Meeting Saturday morning.
Sleep In Special Check In
If you have purchased a sleep-in-special (Uncommon) or are Platinum, you should check in at the Main Stage at the following times:
1 Round Bye - 10:15 AM CST
2 Round Bye - 11:15 AM CST
3 Round Bye - 12:15 PM CST

We have invited some of the best vendors in the country to be on hand to serve all of your Magic needs. Whether you're finishing a deck, foiling one out, selling or completing a collection, these fine vendors will be here to help you.
Although trading is permitted on-site, the following activities are not permitted, and may result in ejection from the Venue without refund:
- Buying, selling, or soliciting to buy or sell cards to anyone except Authorized Dealers.
- Altering cards in exchange for money or any other types of compensation.
- Taking up excessive space while trading or transporting excessive amounts of trade stock.
- Advertising without permission from Pastimes event staff.
